Our Architecture team was hired by Sage Hospitality to assist in the renovation of the Holiday Inn Stapleton's bar as the Architect of Record. The project consists of a full renovation to the bar and dining areas. The Owner was looking for a western theme for the bar, due to the hotel's regional context. As a result, the team selected materials to work with the theme for the interior finishes for the project including Beetle-kill wood planking, a wood/epoxy bar surface, luxury VCT wood plank flooring, new carpet, paint, and wall vinyl.
An adjacent existing gift shop was demolished to create more dining space and an existing storage room was removed in order to enlarge the existing bar. Several perimeter bar walls were removed in an effort to open up the space in order for the bar to now be visible from the front door of the hotel.
